Alfred William Janes (1875-1917)

Alfred William Janes, child of John and Ellen Janes was born in 1875. Married Annie B. Janes andLived at "Roysden", 3 Cheltenham Road, Parkstone, in Poole. Fought in WW1 (dogtag# 3/7833) as a Corporal in the 1st Bn., Dorsetshire Regiment. Died on Dec 6 1917 at the age of 42 in Belgium. Buried at Tyne Cot Memorial, Panel 92 in Zonnebeke, West-Vlaanderen in Belgium. A memorial for Alfred William Janes can be found at St. Johns Heatherlands Church Parkstone,1914-1918 War Memorial in United Kingdom.
