Arthur Gibbs, child of Henry John Gibbs and Annie Gibbs (nee Coles) was born in 1894. Lived at 4 Lucas Road, Upper Parkstone, Poole, Dorset in the Parish of St Johns Heatherlands Church, . Fought in WW1 as a Private in the 1st Bn. Connaught Rangers Service No. 4771.. Died on Apr 29 1916 at the age of 22 in Mesopotamia. Buried at Amara War Cemetery (Grave/Memorial ref VI.C.1 in 82 miles East-south-east of Kut-El-Amara on the River Tigris.
