Edgar Charles Freke (1890-1917)


Edgar Charles Freke, child of Charles and Rachel Freke was born in 1890.  Lived at 93 Albert Road, Parkstone, in Poole.   Fought in WW1 (dogtag# 17803) as a Private in the 3rd Battalion of the Coldstream Guards.  Died on Oct 10 1917 at the age of 27 in Belgium.  Buried at Tyne Cot Memorial, Panel 9 and 10 in Zonnebeke, West-Vlaanderen in Belgium.  A memorial for Edgar Charles Freke can be found at St Johns Heatherlands Church, Parkstone, 1914-1918 War Memorial in United Kingdom.
