W. Cobb (1889-1916)

W. Cobb, child of Charles Tom Cobb and Mary Jane Cobb was born in 1889. Lived at 7 Richmond Road, Parkstone, in Poole. Fought in WW1 (dogtag# 8114) as a Private in the 2nd Battalion of the Dorsetshire Regiment. Died on Apr 28 1916 at the age of 27 in Iraq. Buried at Amara War Cemetery, VI.D.9 in Amara in Iraq. A memorial for W. Cobb can be found at St Johns Heatherlands Church, Parkstone, 1914-1918 War Memorial in United Kingdom.
