Albert Edward Gollop (1896-1915)


Albert Edward Gollop, child of Francis Jane and the late William Gollop was born in 1896.  Lived in Parkstone.   Fought in WW1 (dogtag# 12400) as a Private in the 5th Battalion Dorsetshire Regiment of the Army.  Died on Aug 21 1915 at the age of 19 in Gallipoli.  Buried at Helles Memorial, Panel 136 to 139 in Turkey.  A memorial for Albert Edward Gollop can be found at Helles Memorial / St. Johns Heatherlands Church Parkstone,1914-1918 War Memorial in Italy / United Kingdom.
