Ernest Merrifield (1892-1917)

Ernest Merrifield, child of Mr. H and Mrs. E. Merrifield was born in 1892. Lived at 3 Marline Road, Parkstone, in Poole. Fought in WW1 (dogtag# 15620) as a Private in the 1st Bn., Dorsetshire Regiment of the Army. Died on Jul 13 1917 at the age of 25 in Belgium. Buried at Coxyde Military Cemetery in Koksijde, West-Vlaanderen in Belgium. A memorial for Ernest Merrifield can be found at St. Johns Heatherlands Church Parkstone,1914-1918 War Memorial in United Kingdom.
