Percy Short (1895-1917)


Percy Short, child of John and Annie Short was born in 1895.  Lived in Poole.   Fought in WW1 (dogtag# 331080) as a Rifleman in the 1st/8th Bn. Hampshire Regiment.  Died on Apr 21 1917 at the age of 22.  Buried at A.116. Deir El Bel Ah War Cemetery.  A memorial for Percy Short can be found at St. Michael’s Church Memorial 1914-1919 Hamworthy in United Kingdom.
