Bertie Sherwood (1882-1915)


Bertie Sherwood, child of Martha Sherwood was born in 1882.  Married Eliza Sherwood andLived at York Road, Upper Parkstone, in Poole.   Fought in WW1 (dogtag# 3/7839) as a Private in the 1st Battalion Dorsetshire Regiment.  Died on Jul 5 1915 at the age of 33 in Flanders, France.  Buried at Menin Gate Memorial, Panel 37. in Ieper, West-Vlaanderen in Belgium.  A memorial for Bertie Sherwood can be found at St. Johns Heatherlands Church Parkstone,1914-1918 War Memorial in United Kingdom.
