Henry John (aka John Henry) Saunders (1891-1915)


Henry John (aka John Henry) Saunders, child of Henry and Frances was born in 1891.  Lived at Ringwood Road, Parkstone, in Poole.   Fought in WW1 (dogtag# 3/5832) as a Private in the 1st Battalion Dorsetshire Regiment of the Army.  Died on May 5 1915 at the age of 24 in France.  A memorial for Henry John (aka John Henry) Saunders can be found at Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension - Nord in France.  Their name features in the St. Clement’s Church Roll of Honour 1915.
