Herbert Ernest Sweatland, child of Gertrude Minnie Sweatland of Whitehorse Drive was born in 1920. Lived in Poole. Fought in WW2 as a Corporal in the 5th Bn. Royal West Kents. Died on Nov 23 1943 at the age of 23. Buried at Sangro Military Cemetery.
