William John Stone, child of James and Annie Stone was born in 1890. Lived at 104 Green Road, . Fought in WW1 (dogtag# 16477) as a Private in the 8th Bn. Duke of Wellington’s (West Riding Regt).. Died on Sep 14 1916 at the age of 26. A memorial for William John Stone can be found at Pier and Face 6A and 6B. Thiepval Memorial in France.
