John Tilsed Whittle (1897-1918)


John Tilsed Whittle, child of William George and Amy Martha Whittle was born in 1897.  Lived at Kingland Road, Longfleet, in Poole.   Fought in WW1 (dogtag# 27013) as a Sergeant in the 15th (Hampshire Yeomnary) Bn. Hampshire Regiment..  Died on Mar 23 1918 at the age of 21.  A memorial for John Tilsed Whittle can be found at Bay 6. Arras Memorial - Pas de Calais in France.
