Charles Edward Whittle (1896-1917)

Charles Edward Whittle, child of George F and Louisa Whittle was born in 1896. Lived at 11 Barbers Piles, in Poole. Fought in WW1 (dogtag# 31835) as a Lance Corporal in the 1st Bn. Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry. Died on May 8 1917 at the age of 21 in France. A memorial for Charles Edward Whittle can be found at Bay 6. Arras Memorial - Pas de Calais in France.
