Granville Ray, child of Thomas and Esther Ray. Lived at Foxholes Road, in Poole. Fought in WW2 as a Able Seaman (attached to HMS Penelope) of the Royal Navy. Died on Feb 18 1944. Their name features in the Plymouth Naval Roll of Honour.
