George Carey (1876-1917)


George Carey, child of George and Rose Ellen Carey was born in 1876.  Married Mrs N F M Carey of “Arkendale” andLived at Emerson Road, in Poole.   Fought in WW1 (dogtag# 204008) as a Private in the 1st 7th Bn. Worcestershire Regiment.  Died on Sep 5 1917 at the age of 41 in France.  A memorial for George Carey can be found at Dorset. VI.A.16A. Buried in Wimereux Communal Cemetery - Pas de Calais.
