A.C. Ayres (1888-1919)


A.C. Ayres, child of Walter and Eliza Ayres was born in 1888.  Married Minnie Hucklesby (formerly Ayres) andLived in Poole.   Fought in WW1 (dogtag# 101455) as a Gunner in the 199th Siege Bty. Royal Garrison Artillery.  Died on Jun 19 1919 at the age of 31.  Buried at B.262. Markyate (St. John The Baptist) in New Chyd in Hertfordshire.  Their name features in the St. Luke’s Church Roll of Honour 1914-1918 in United Kingdom.
