Mark Allen (1899-1917)

Mark Allen, child of Mr and Mrs Edwin Allen of Oak Glen was born in 1899. Lived at Sandbanks Road, in Parkstone. Fought in WW1 (dogtag# 15163) in the 5th Bn. Dorsetshire Regiment. Died on Jan 11 1917 at the age of 18. A memorial for Mark Allen can be found at Thiepval Memorial. Somme in France. Their name features in the St Peter’s Church Roll of Honour 1914-1918 in United Kingdom.
